Earlier this year, I made the decision to close down my Telegram group due to the rising threat of fraudulent activities targeting our community. Protecting our members from scammers and ensuring your security was, and always will be, my highest priority. However, recent global events have compelled me to reconsider my approach and reopen my "Simon Dixon's Announcement Channel" on Telegram.

As many of you are aware, Pavel Durov, the founder of Telegram, was recently arrested in Paris—a move that has raised significant concerns about the future of free speech and privacy on the internet. What you may not know is that the company that I co-founded BnkToTheFuture  made a strategic investment in Telegram as it has long stood as a bastion against censorship, a platform that champions the rights of its users to communicate freely without government interference and support the growth of the Bitcoin and crypto sector. This commitment aligns deeply with my own mission: to empower individuals to secure their financial freedom by building and protecting their Bitcoin wealth in a world increasingly dominated by centralized control through AI, Central Bank Digital Currencies (CBDCs), and the traditional financial systems. Shortly after making this investment the SEC targeted Telegram and they had to refund 70% of our investment which seems like it allowed the company to continue. 

Over the years, my journey—from authoring the first Bitcoin book to investing in over 100 Bitcoin companies—has always been about one thing: financial sovereignty. Bitcoin gifted me financial freedom, and I’ve dedicated my life to helping others achieve the same. As governments around the world tighten their grip through CBDCs and other forms of control, the fight for privacy and free speech becomes ever more critical.

This is why I’m reopening our Telegram channel. Telegram remains one of the few platforms that continues to resist the pressures of censorship, offering a space where we can freely discuss Bitcoin, macroeconomics, and geopolitics without fear of suppression.
