Atrocity Inc: How Israel Used October 7th to Sell Its Destruction of Gaza

Oct 18, 2024

On October 7, 2023, the world watched as a tragic event unfolded in Israel, sparking a ferocious and devastating response against the Gaza Strip. In the chaos that followed, media outlets worldwide bombarded us with horrifying images, stories of atrocities, and brutal narratives aimed at justifying Israel’s full-scale assault on Gaza. However, as time passed, cracks began to appear in the official story.

The documentary Atrocity Inc: How Israel Sells Its Destruction of Gaza pulls back the curtain on these media deceptions and atrocity hoaxes. Max Blumenthal’s fearless investigation exposes the propaganda machine behind the Israeli government’s response, which painted Palestinian militants as monstrous and legitimized what can only be described as genocide.

In the midst of misinformation and manipulated narratives, the truth is buried under layers of political agendas and financial interests. It’s clear that wars are not only fought on the battlefield but also in the media, and it’s the public who become pawns in a larger game of geopolitical and financial gain.

Media Lies Fueling Genocide

The documentary makes a compelling case for how Israel and its allies in the mainstream media deployed atrocity propaganda to create political space for the destruction of Gaza. One of the most shocking examples was the false claim that Hamas had beheaded 40 babies in Kibbutz Burei. This story, fed to the media by Israeli soldiers and reported with conviction by major outlets like CNN and CBS, was later debunked. Yet, by the time the truth emerged, the damage had already been done. The initial lie had served its purpose, rallying support for Israel’s military campaign.

Max Blumenthal goes on to highlight how the narrative of barbaric atrocities committed by Palestinian fighters continued to evolve, with each new claim being more lurid than the last. These included fabricated stories of babies being burned alive and women being raped, which were amplified by Israeli officials and their media partners.

Israel wasn’t content with merely exposing genuine horrors of the October 7 attack. Instead, they saw an opportunity to stretch the truth, to manipulate the facts in a way that would provide justification for what followed: the systematic annihilation of Gaza.

Who Benefits?

As I’ve always said, there can be no peace without truth. And when lies are used to manipulate public opinion, it’s essential to follow the money and ask: who benefits? In the case of Gaza, the answer becomes clear when you trace the financial and political powers involved.

Behind Israel’s propaganda blitz lies the military-industrial complex, which profits immensely from conflict. The United States, through its Federal Reserve, continues to print money for war. This benefits not only arms manufacturers but also the intelligence agencies—CIA, MI6, Mossad—who thrive on global instability. Every missile launched and every bomb dropped creates wealth for those who hold the keys to these war machines.

Blumenthal reveals in Atrocity Inc that organizations like Zaka, an Israeli “rescue” organization, raked in millions in donations after fabricating and exaggerating stories of Hamas atrocities. Meanwhile, the Western media played its part, serving as a megaphone for these false narratives, much like during other conflicts in modern historyā€‹.

The Real Atrocities

While the media focused on these gruesome stories—many of them later proven false—Israel’s military engaged in the very acts they accused Hamas of committing. The documentary details the controlled ethnic cleansing campaign in Gaza, where entire families were wiped out under the guise of “fighting terrorism.”

Blumenthal shows how Israel’s army committed its own atrocities, from the shelling of homes filled with Israeli civilians held hostage by Hamas, to the gang rapes of Palestinian prisoners in Israeli prisonsā€‹.These heinous acts are often downplayed or ignored by mainstream outlets because they don’t fit the preferred narrative: that Israel is merely defending itself from barbaric enemies.

Exposing the Truth

I share this documentary right here on this page because I believe we have a moral obligation to uncover and share the truth, even when it’s uncomfortable. Wars are fought with more than bullets and bombs—they are waged with narratives designed to manipulate and control the masses. As long as we remain in the dark, we are complicit in the atrocities carried out in our name.

The U.S. and other Western powers provide unwavering support to Israel, even as calls for a ceasefire grow louder. This is not just about military alliances; it’s about maintaining a global financial order that thrives on conflict. The rise of Central Bank Digital Currencies (CBDCs) and artificial intelligence technology, tools of control in the hands of a few, fit into this broader picture of war, domination, and profit.

A Call to Action

The truth has always been our most powerful weapon. By uncovering the real motives behind conflicts, such as those in Gaza, we can resist manipulation and refuse to become pawns in the hands of those who profit from war.
